It seems that I’m good (or rather somewhat) at disciplining myself to write my books, but terrible at posting to my blog. I’m going to try and turn that around. I’ve been working pretty steadily on Book Three in the Rogue Warrior Series. At this time the title is not available for publication, but I am hoping to be releasing the title sometime this month, followed by the actual book late spring. So, please bear with me, be patient and know I’m working on Eddie Roark’s next adventure as you read this! May God continue to bless you and keep you safe as (hopefully) the pandemic winds down with vaccinations on the horizon. God bless… xxo mag
So close, and yet so far...
We have turned the corner and are in the final stretch on The Ex. The artwork is in... Everyone has turned in their edits. Just waiting on a few minor tweaks from research sources on procedural details, to assure accuracy. I always strive to have my stories feel as true to life as possible. The Ex deals with so many subjects: PTSD, Agent Orange benefits, the Texas Army National Guard. It's intense, but the action feels real and I hope you get wrapped up in Eddie’s second misadventures as much as you did with The Missionary: Book One of the Rogue Warrior Series. I’ll keep you posted, dear friends, dear readers. Thanks for your continued support. God bless... xxo mag

My Bucket List
Recently, Bryan and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary by taking a cruise to Alaska. Best trip ever! We crossed off several items on both our bucket lists, things we never thought we’d see in a lifetime. Icebergs freshly calved from massive glaciers. Pods of Humpback whales and Orcas. (Although we didn’t see more than their sprays, find or occasional tails, it was incredible to be so close and see them in their natural habitat.) And, rarely, are the Northern Lights seen so far south as Juneau, but we saw them. Spectacular! And, then, the most beautiful sight was seeing bald eagles—yes, I said eagles, as in plural. Flying unhindered around us, feeding in the dunes, and perched on lampposts, as plentiful as the annoying grackles here in Texas. And for a writer to say it’s indescribable, well—that’s description enough.
Grandson time
I get so excited when I can take a break from writing or Ubering or subbing to play “Nana”. Although my sixteen year old grandson, Colton, isn’t as much into hanging out with me as the eight-year old is, he once did. Now he’s moved onto bigger and better things—like girls. And bull riding. Jaxson, however, loves for me to pick him up, so he can talk me into an ICEE or a DQ chocolate dipped cone or playing at the park. Or sometimes just to snuggle and watch movies. I’ve got four more grandkids in Maryland. I’d give anything to be able to have them ask me the same thing… in person. :) I’m grateful for Facetime!
We're days away from our next release...
So exciting!!! And, overwhelming! I am (literally) days away from releasing my newest novel, The Missionary: Book One of the Rogue Soldier Series. Days away, and yet so much to do. It’s been two years since I’ve released anything and I forgot how complicated it is to get all my ducks in a row. Writing blurbs and creating links and Amazon Associates and book promotions and AAAARRRRGGGHHHH… So much to do, and so little time. I enjoy the marketing side, but would rather be writing…
